There is even a lake with an island, where it’s possible to find a remarkable vegetation. An unforgetable experience!

Bois de Boulogne is known as the green lung of the French capital in the Western part of the city. The whole area has a size of 8 1/2 square kilometres.

Bois de Boulogne offers many footpaths, bike lanes, and bridle ways. The place was very popular among the aristocracy during the 18th century. Many summer residences were built during those times. One of the most famous ones is the little castle called “Bagatelle” in “Parc de Bagatelle”.

At the beginning of the 20th century Bois de Boulogne became the sophisticated meeting place of the Parisians.

“Jardin d’Acclimatation” is also part of the popular park. Jardin d’Acclimatation is a little paradise for children.

The oasis of flowers and trees was created at the beginning of the 17th century. It was Maria of Medici who gave the order to build a park and an appendant palace. Jardin du Luxembourg arose according to Florentine paragons.

Today Jardin du Luxembourg is the headquater of the French senate.

Jardin des Tuileries is known as the front garden of the Louvre. It was in the year 1666 when the park was created. Jardin des Tuileries was one of the first parks which allowed the public the entrance.

The baroque style of the park is conspicuous. Jardin des Tuileries served as shining example for many other parks in Europe. This shows the unachievable importance of Jardin des Tuileries.

One of the most impressing attractions of the park are 18 sculptures of women. Today Jardin des Tuileries is part on the list of the Worlds Cultural Heritages.
