Paris offers many different types of concerts. From top artists in big concert halls, to the passionate amateur in the park. Especially during summer time are a lot of open air concerts in the parks of Paris. Of course free of charge.

One of the big concert halls in Paris is “La Cigale” in Boulevard Rochechouart 120. Metro 2 and 12: Pigalle. Another big and even world famous concert hall is Olympia in Boulevard des Capucines 28. Metro 3, 7, and 8: Opera.

Theatre des Champs Elysees is mostly used for classic concerts and operas. Avenue Montaigne 15. Metro 9: Alma Marceau.

The headquater of the national opera can be found in Theatre du Chatelet. The building offers one of the most beautiful concert halls of Paris. Theatre du Chatelet is also very often used for classic concerts. Place du Chatelet 1.

Cinema Paris

Going to the cinema is a true passion for most of the Parisians. There are more than 300 different types of cinemas in the whole city. From palaces with the latest movies from Hollywood, to little arthouse cinemas.

Cinemateque Francaise in Rue de Bercy 51, accommodates a huge collection of 40.000 movies. Cinemateque Francaise has several cinema halls, and offers interesting screenings of rare movies. Metro 6 and 14: Bercy.

MK2 is a very modern cinema in Avenue de France 128/162 with 14 cinema halls. The sustained building has a futuristic character, and a blinding white frontage. Metro 14: Bibliotheque Francois Miterrand.

La Pagode is a cinema temple in Asian style of the 19th century, and also a quite unique cinema attraction of Paris. Rue de Babylone. Metro 13: Saint Francois Xavier.

Le Baiser Sale is a cosy cellar in Rue des Lombards 58, with a huge bar and jazz videos on a screen.

Le Bataclan is known as a famous concert and show stage with loads of fantastic events. The location has even a coffee house included, and can be found in Boulevard Voltaire 50 (Metro 5 and 9: Oberkampf).

A cosy club with different types of jazz music is located in Rue des Lombards 42. Au Duc des Lombards is the name of the club, which also accomodates a restaurant.

New Morning is probably the best and most famous jazz club in the whole city. There is a lot of live music with the most important musicians of the French jazz scene. Rue des Petites Ecuries 9. Metro 4: Chateau d’Eau.

A yummy brunch is offered in Cafe Beaubourg. The stylish bar is located directly to the opposite of Centre Pompidou. Cafe Beaubourg has a nice terrace, and is also very popular among tourists.

Barrio Latino is one of the most popular bars in Paris, and consists of three floors. The building was designed by Gustav Eiffel. There is a lot of Salsa music, and the guests are delighted because of those fabulous Latin American snacks.

Bar and restaurant in one is the location called “Buddha Bar“, close to the metro station of Concorde. Asian cuisine is offered, and ethnic music is played.
