There are a lot of museums in Paris. Le Musée de l’AP-HP shows the medical history of Paris. Visit “Le Musee des Arts Decoratifs” if you want to know more about the last eight centuries of Paris. Carnavalet is another museum of Paris history. It also shows interesting artifacts of the French revolution.

Centre Georges Pompidou is a museum of modern art, and the building of the museum is an attraction itself. You can also find a Picasso Museum, and a museum of arms and armor from Middle Ages until today.

It’s also possible to find out more about Napoleon Bonaparte, probably one of the most famous Frenchmen in history.

But the greatest and finest museum in Paris is “The Louvre”, which can be found in the centre of the city. The Louvre is the leading museum in the world of art, art-history, and culture. The Louvre is also known as the world’s most visited art museum.

The museum was established in 1793, and has 35.000 pieces displayed over the surface of 60,000 square metres.

The military museum of war “Musée de l’Armée” was opened in 1905, and counts to one of the largest military museums in the world. The visitor can find a lot of different weapons from all important time periods.

The museum also presents Napoleons’s tomb in the church at the Invalides, which is a part of the whole building complex (Les Invalides).

This is the museum of fashion, which is located in Palais Galliéra on the Avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie. The museum presents clothing and professional uniforms from 1735 to the present day.
