Rue Mouffetard Paris

Category: Streets of Paris – admin – 7:12 am

Rue Mouffetard is a small and narrow but lively steeet in the Ile de la Cite district. It’s known that this kind of street exists since Roman time.

Rue Mouffetard is full of little pubs and shops. There is also a daily market with rich offerings. The street leads down from Montagne Sainte Genevieve. On the top end of Rue Mouffetard lies the picturesque square called “Place de la Contrescarpe” with many cosy coffee houses.

Metro 7: Place Monge
