Place Vendome is a square in the Sentier district, close to the opera house. The masterpiece of classic style was created at the end of the 17th century by Jules Hardouin-Mansart.
The center of the square is occupied by a pillar in Roman style. Napoleon is displayed on the top of the pillar as a Roman emperor.

The shops around Place Vendome are the homes of a lot of famous jewellers. Also the famous “Hotel Ritz” is located close to Place Vendome.
