Place de la Concorde is probably the most monumental square in the French capital. The central point is tagged by an 3.000 year-old obelisk from Egypt, from where it’s possible to see the whole Champs Elysees until to the Arc de Triomphe.

In 1775 Place de la Concorde was the location for the execution of King Ludwig XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette.
