Opera Garnier is the opera house of the district called “Sentier”. When the construction works of Opera Garnier were finished in 1875, it was the biggest opera house in the whole world.
The magnificent building has many parts of marmor and gold. Some people even say that Opera Garnier is more than just an opera house. It’s also a palace.

Especially the pompous staircase is worth a visit. There is also an impressive ceiling panel which was painted by Marc Chagall in 1964.
