Opera Bastille is the new opera of Paris. It was the idea of former president Francois Miterrand to build such a new institution in the French capital.
The Canadian architect Carlos Ott made the French presidents dream come true. The contruction works of the opera were finished in 1989.

The building is made of glass, steel, and granite. The sight-seeing of the new opera is a true impressing experience, althought if there is even no interest in operas at all.
