Marais Paris

Category: Paris District – admin – 9:37 pm

In former time Marais was the aristocratic district of Paris. Today the place is known for its Jewish population, the homosexual scene, and a popular destination for a trendy and active nightlife.

Marais impresses the visitor by its rich and diversified architecture. This comes from the past of the district. The aristocratic history left a lot of wonderful palaces, which serve as museums today.

Place de Vosges, which is the former kings square, is probably the most beautiful square of Paris. Some talented street musicians guarantee a good atmosphere during the whole year.

The Eastern part of Marais is the location of the Opera Bastille. The nighlife around Opera Bastille is very active. Someone who is searching for a good place in Paris to party, would find his true satisfaction there.
