The area around the Eiffel Tower is known to be a quite expensive one. This part of Paris is populated by upper classes, embassies, many ministries and some palaces. There are also a lot of tourists who enjoy to see the famous sight of Paris.
The best place for a photo of the Eiffel Tower is the other side of the Seine river. The courtyard of “Palais de Chaillot”. Palais de Chaillot offers not only a good place for a photo of the Eiffel Tower, but also museums, a theatre and a restaurant for people who are tired and hungry of making photos of the big attraction.

The Eiffel Tower has a height of 300 metres and was quite a long time the highest building of the world. The construction works for the important sight of Paris were finished in 1889. It was the main attraction for the world exhibition in those days.
It was planned to pull down the tower after 20 years, but the importance as a weather station, air traffic control as well as tv station, was too high.
The visitor is able to reach the first platform after 115 metres. The highest platform can be found in a height of 274 metres.
